The Happy Hours The Happy Hours at night Call it maze call it labyrinth It's the shape of it on my mind Strangers are crowding every street But the darkness made them all nice We shouldn't be at the Village Fete We'd better climb up the hill With the promise of being in a quieter place With the whispering trees standing still But we bought some drinks and we found our seats What's the point now to walk away? As we're waiting for some other friends Who assured us they are on their way Chatting on or discussing on Are you taking the mick out of me? You're the charming one and the funny one And I'm high as I can ever be The Happy Hours The Happy Hours at night There were four of us maybe even five But apparently some fell behind In a puff of smoke or in a spilled glass We are stuck in here till late night Plunging thoughts into the river stream That flows in the lines of our eyes I don't really know if I'm talking loud Or I'm whispering confessing to lying Yeah call it maze call it labyrinth It's the shape of it on my mind Call it wind call it bonding link Call it whatever we can provide We can spy on the candle light Which is hidden inside our brains Shining through our drunken eyes Before brilliance steps off in the rain The Happy Hours The Happy Hours at night The Village Fete Has come to an end All the people heading home The mystery girl Approaches us late She's getting here, mate We must stay longer The Happy Hours The Happy Hours at night

When you’re wandering in the jungle striving to get some food But you are a caveman and you don’t trust the neighbourhood You hear a voice inside When you’re flying a lunar module hoping to reach the moon But you’re running out of fuel and you have to land it soon Time to make up your mind Grey matter lives For as long as we breathe From inside our skull It can make us less dull, maybe Grey matter lives Strains us apes through a sieve Whereas out of the blue We decide what to do, maybe We all do This land of darkness Demanding sharpness When you are a stranger and nobody can speak your name And you ask for help but in return you just get the blame No one can tell you why Grey matter lives Neurons spike proactive There’s a light in our head Proving we’re not yet dead, and so Grey matter lives Makes us plan and conceive Information may flow And come up with a glow, maybe From you, and you, me too Then we can make up things together We all do, me too, and you Why don’t we make up things together? Grey matter lives For as long as we breathe From inside our skull It can make us less dull, maybe Grey matter lives Strains us apes through a sieve Whereas out of the blue We decide what to do, maybe We all do, me too, and you Then we can make up things together Same boat, afloat, take note Why don’t we make up things together? We learn, and earn, discern We better make up things together But we lie, then fight and cry We didn’t make up things together

It’s a wonderful morning And you stand on the quay See myself in the mirror Of my hot cup of tea I don’t know what you’re thinking I don’t know what you see But the chances are shrinking That you might think of me as well as swim in the sea Come and get me in my hole Before I get too old Come and get me in my bed Before I get too dead But I send you a warning It’s the least I can do I might try to reject And diminish and trash Everything that you do It’s a wonderful morning Here is my cup of tea In a state of undress You did not take a swim Now you’re looking for me? Now you’re looking for me? Come and get me in my hole Before I get too old Come and get me in my bed Before I get too dead But I send you a warning It’s the least I can do I might try to reject And diminish and trash Everything that you do It’s a wonderful morning Here is my cup of tea In a state of undress You did not take a swim Now you’re looking for me? Now you’re looking for me? Yes. Me.

At first there is just nothing Neither pleasure nor pain As gravity is missing making matter seem so vain ‘Cause it looks so far away I lost my sense of scale I lost my sense of time Memories are fairy-tales And I don’t know what it’s mine Even in those kissing lies And see Ghostly warm intimacy I can’t say it’s proper floating As immersive as it feels I can’t say it’s proper flying There’s no height to be scared of There’s no ground to crash into It is almost non-existence Have no eyelid to see through But I can tell from a distance That one asteroid is you What’s your name I have no clue But please Linger in my fantasy It’s mine Even in those kissing lies And see Ghostly warm intimacy

Here comes once again one inductivist turkey It goes again for food, its gait is really jerky But then surprise surprise, the farmer Is choping off its head And, surprise surprise, its plan Has failed the turkey’s dead Here come once again the conspiracy theorists They go again for plots, they claim they are realists But then surprise surprise, data are Displayed before their eyes But, surprise surprise, claims turn Into blatant Lies that flow down in the talking and the doing Lies that reach out to the bad thoughts we all want to hide Here come once again the lords of storytelling They go again for fools who buy what they are selling But then, surprise surprise, stories Don’t help people survive except, surprise surprise, for those who thrive on their own Lies that flow down in the talking and the doing Lies that reach out to the bad thoughts we all want to hide Here I go again with dark weary words Here I go again speaking way too much But then, surprise surprise, I don’t Mean to change the world But, surprise surprise, I can’t Help expressing Feelings shaped as intellectual constellations Feelings shaped as mandatory masturbation Tell me something, in the meantime, tell me something There’s no point in waiting for the call there’s no surprise

Let Go 05:29
I know a place where I could stay It's dark and warm and distant Sometimes I feel it in my dreams Just to come back to nightmares If I was smarter I'd be there Fading away, feel I might Being part of everything I love If I was smarter I'd die In the void, be nothing If I just let go Bodies covered up with dust, Bed of roses made of rust Same old liars in disguise Sometimes I see stars shining bright With ancient stories to tell It feels like my forsaken home No wonder why it's all gone We all put our trust in the stars We hold on to those stories If we were smarter we would snap If we were smarter we'd end This nonsense, this madness Just need to let go Bodies covered up with dust, Bed of roses made of rust Same old liars in disguise
